These infections are caused by bacteria, and this medicine works by targeting and eliminating the bacteria responsible.Cefpodoxime Proxetil works by stopping the growth of bacteria, preventing them from multiplying and spreading. Clavulanic Acid enhances the effectiveness of Cefpodoxime by reducing bacterial resistance, allowing the antibiotic to work more efficiently against bacteria that might otherwise survive treatment.
