VEFOstat-40 contains Febuxostat 40 mg, a medication used primarily to manage and prevent gout, a form of arthritis caused by the accumulation of uric acid crystals in the joints. Gout typically presents as sudden attacks of severe pain, redness, warmth, and swelling in joints—most commonly in the big toe, ankles, knees, or fingers.Febuxostat is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor that works by reducing the production of uric acid in the body. By lowering uric acid levels in the blood, VEFOstat-40 helps prevent the formation of crystals and dissolves existing ones over time, thereby reducing the frequency and severity of gout attacks.
