Sanzify-200XL is a broad-spectrum antibiotic suspension containing Azithromycin 200 mg per 5 ml. It is commonly used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections in children and adults. These include infections of the lungs (such as pneumonia and bronchitis), throat (tonsillitis, pharyngitis), sinuses, skin, ears, stomach and intestines, and urinary tract. It is also effective against certain sexually transmitted infections and typhoid fever.Azithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that works by preventing the bacteria from synthesizing essential proteins needed for their survival. This action stops the infection from spreading and allows the body’s immune system to clear the infection. Because of its long half-life, once-daily dosing for 3 to 5 days is usually sufficient, making it convenient—especially for children.
Sanzify-200XL should be taken exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Do not skip doses, and complete the entire course even if the symptoms improve early. Incomplete treatment may lead to bacterial resistance.
Shake the bottle well before use and measure the dose accurately using a dosing cup or spoon. Common side effects may include nausea, mild diarrhea, stomach discomfort, or loss of appetite. This medication should not be used for viral infections like the common cold or flu.
