Sanglone TBM is a broad-spectrum antibiotic formulation that combines Ceftriaxone and Tazobactum, used for the effective treatment of various severe bacterial infections. Ceftriaxone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that works by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, leading to the death of bacteria. It is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms.Tazobactum is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that enhances the effectiveness of Ceftriaxone by blocking the beta-lactamase enzymes secreted by resistant bacteria. These enzymes can break down the antibiotic and render it ineffective; Tazobactum neutralizes this resistance mechanism, allowing Ceftriaxone to work more effectively.
Sanglone TBM is commonly used to treat respiratory tract infections (like pneumonia), urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, and infections following surgery.
