It is widely used to treat mixed bacterial and protozoal infections, especially those affecting the gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, respiratory system, genital tract, and dental infections. Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial DNA replication, thereby stopping the growth and spread of bacteria. Ornidazole is an antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent that works by damaging the DNA of protozoa and anaerobic bacteria, causing their death.This dual-action formula makes MADraxo O especially effective in treating infections caused by both bacteria and protozoa, such as amoebic dysentery, giardiasis, and bacterial diarrhea. It also helps in managing infections following dental procedures or minor surgeries.
