AFYmox-CLAV 1.2GM is a broad-spectrum antibiotic injection used for the treatment of various bacterial infections in the body. It contains two active ingredients: Amoxicillin, a penicillin-type antibiotic that kills bacteria by preventing cell wall formation, and Clavulanic Acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor that enhances Amoxicillin’s effectiveness by protecting it from bacterial resistance.This combination makes AFYmox-CLAV particularly effective against bacteria that produce beta-lactamase enzymes, which would otherwise make standard penicillin antibiotics ineffective. It is commonly used to treat infections of the lungs (pneumonia, bronchitis), urinary tract, skin and soft tissues, bones and joints, sinuses, and abdominal organs.
Administered by intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) injection, AFYmox-CLAV 1.2GM is ideal for moderate to severe infections, especially when oral antibiotics are not suitable. The dosing schedule depends on the severity of the infection and the patient's medical condition, and should always be supervised by a healthcare professional.
Common side effects may include pain at the injection site, diarrhea, nausea, or skin rash. In rare cases, allergic reactions or liver enzyme disturbances may occur. AFYmox-CLAV 1.2GM should only be used under medical supervision and is not effective against viral infections.
